Melting Pearl
This sterling silver ring, with baroque and round pearls set, was designed to evoke the look of melting ice, symbolizing the rapid decline of glaciers and raising awareness of climate change. The irregular forms of the baroque pearl create a fluid, melting effect in combination with the smaller round pearls, emphasizing the fragility of the natural world. This piece is a part of an Art Nouveau–inspired collection, the piece reflects the movement’s tradition of drawing inspiration from nature, while also updating that focus to address one of today’s most urgent environmental issues. The ring’s base was modeled in Rhino, blending historical influence with modern concerns through both design and concept.
