Lady Stag Beetle Pendant 

This sterling silver pendant was created using the sand-casting method during my very first jewelry class at SCAD. To form the design, I sculpted a female face out of polymer clay and combined it with half of a small plastic stag beetle toy, later soldering on legs made from wire to bring the insect detail to life. The piece hangs from a handmade nickel silver chain, crafted in a long double-layered style with organic-shaped jump rings that echo the natural forms in the pendant.
