Lady Butterfly Brooch

​This sterling silver brooch is one of my more whimsical and surreal designs, featuring the face of a woman with a butterfly wing in place of her ear. It’s a motif I’ve had in mind for a long time and one I’ve played with in past work, so finally bringing it to life felt really special. I hand-carved the piece in wax, carefully shaping the details, and then cast it in silver using the lost-wax method. The finished brooch has a dreamlike quality, blurring the line between human and nature in a way that feels both imaginative and otherworldly.
